Hello. My name is Jack Tonkin and I decided to set up this blog in the hope of increasing the interest of American football within the UK.
The idea for this blog originally came when I decided to write a blog based on my travels around Asia. The blog turned out to be very popular, but unfortunately after a year's travelling, that is where the story ends. As I enjoyed writing posts and so did my audience I thought I would give it another go. Testing out a few ideas I came up with a blog for American football. It's a vastly developing sport within the UK at the moment and as I have been a keen follower since the Super bowl of 2005 I wanted to try and provide information for people new to the sport.
As a result of the 2005 Super bowl I decided I wanted to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I like the way they have never won the Super bowl making them underdogs and with Michael Vick behind them I've have enjoyed watching the group of young players evolve into one of the most explosive offences in the NFL.
I've always been incredibly enthusiastic about all sports which lead me to my degree within BSc Sports Therapy. I played soccer from a very young age but now I can see how much the rules of the NFL and American football are far better. Trust me, I know it seems confusing at first but every play is so tactical it always keeps you guessing.
I've always enjoyed writing, having previously been a content editor for one of the largest E-commerce companies within the UK and I have a huge interest in online marketing.
So I hope you enjoy our articles and spread the word and hopefully I'll see you at the next NFL London game at Wembley.
So here it is, I hope you enjoy. Jack.
